As of May, 2021, the current principal balance on our 2014 Gathering Center loan is approximately $2,000,000.00. Our intent has always been to be aggressive in retiring the debt. With that in mind, our finance team has developed a plan to eliminate the debt completely by October 31, 2026. How exciting!
Currently our Chapel is used for our Classic Worship service and Filipino service on Sunday mornings. In addition, our First Baptist Christian School uses this space for weekly chapel services, and other groups use the Chapel for event and meeting space. Not only do we need to renovate this vital part of our campus, but we also need to better connect this area with our new Gathering Center. For example, we plan to widen the rear corridor to create a “Main Street” hallway, so that folks can better navigate our campus.
