One of the things that makes Kennesaw First Baptist Church unique is that we believe in an On Mission lifestyle. Just a few visits to KFBC proves it! Almost weekly we quote Matthew 28:18-20 together as our parting Bible verse before leaving worship services. Why? We believe that every Christ-follower plays an important part in taking the message of God’s love and grace to their world.
In addition, we proudly partner with mission fields around the world to share Christ. Not only do we give generously and substantially to missionaries through the Cooperative program of the SBC, but we also believe in partnering with missionaries and going to support them.
Currently we have numerous short- term mission trips that people from all ages at KFBC go to share the gospel through. We proudly average around 10% of our active membership participating annually in short-term missions. There are specific mission trips for our students grades 6-12, as well as, college and family mission trips in the United States and abroad.
Yet, together, we also play and active role in our community. Here are two of the ministries that KFBC is a part of:
Volunteers from KFBC go out in the community on the first Saturday of each month to work on projects for homeowners. Typically projects can be completed in a couple of hours and my include but not be limited to; yard work, moving furniture, changing light bulbs and smoke detector batteries, small home repairs, etc. This ministry is not limited to KFBC members.
Little Free Pantry
We have set up two little free food pantries on the KFBC campus. One is located at the start of the KFBC walking trail and the other one is located on the left side of the parking lot in front of the Fellowship Hall. The pantries have non-perishable food items that are free to anyone who may need them. If you are interested in donating food items you can place them in either of the pantries anytime.
Jesus First Mission Projects
Each month we will have an opportunity to serve our community in a local missions or outreach project. Our hope is to develop a missional lifestyle in our Life Groups & church body and show what a Jesus First Life can look like.
