Doctrinal Study
Jan. 13
The Apostle’s Creed: Together We Believe

Examine the primary tenets of Christianity. The Apostles’ Creed was born from the apostles’ teachings. It contains essential doctrines and beliefs that summarize the gospel and the foundation of our faith. The scriptural truths contained in the creed enable us to build our Christian lives on good theology, with the knowledge that our faith is rooted in truth and a rich history.

Led by Steve Camp

Women's Study

The Gospel of Mark: The Jesus We’re Aching For

In The Gospel of Mark: The Jesus We’re Aching For, follow Jesus through His days of early ministry all the way to the cross. It’s there we discover what it means to be recipients of His excessive compassion and the very reason fo His all-consuming passion. Designed to be used in conjunction with Lisa Harper’s 7-session video study, each session in the Bible Study book includes video notes, discussion questions, and study sections to be done throughout the week. A 3-page Leader’s Help section is included in the back of the book.

Led by Jenni Carter

Faith and Culture
Jan. 13
Counter Culture: Following Christ in and Anti-Christian Age

Welcome to the front lines. Everywhere we turn, battle lines are being drawn―traditional marriage vs. gay marriage, pro-life vs. pro-choice, personal freedom vs. governmental protection. Seemingly overnight, culture has shifted to the point where right and wrong are no longer measured by universal truth but by popular opinion. And as difficult conversations about homosexuality, abortion, and religious liberty continue to inject themselves into our workplaces, our churches, our schools, and our homes, Christians everywhere are asking the same question: How are we supposed to respond to all this? In Counter Culture, New York Times bestselling author David Platt shows Christians how to actively take a stand on such issues as poverty, sex trafficking, marriage, abortion, racism, and religious liberty―and challenges us to become passionate, unwavering voices for Christ. Drawing on compelling personal accounts from around the world, Platt presents an unapologetic yet winsome call for Christians to faithfully follow Christ into the cultural battlefield in ways that will prove both costly and rewarding. The lines have been drawn. The moment has come for Christians to rise up and deliver a gospel message that’s more radical than even the most controversial issues of our day.

Principles of Bible Interpretation
Jan. 13
How To Read the Bible For All It’s Worth

Understanding the Bible correctly and rightly relating its meaning to life requires using the right approach and tools to dig deeper into Scripture. This class will provide you with practical, hands-on exercises to guide you through the interpretive process. We will learn how to accurately read, understand, interpret, and apply the Bible.

Led by Pastor Evans Newell

Cost: Companion books (textbook and workbook) $30

Spiritual Growth
Jan. 13
Experiencing God: Knowing and Doing the Will of God

Knowing God does not come through a program, a study, or a method. Knowing God comes through a relationship with a Person. This is an intimate love relationship with God. Through this relationship, God reveals Himself, His purposes, and His ways; and He invites you to join Him where He is already at work.

Led by Pastor Marc Amason and Dr. Perry Fowler
Cost: Companion books (textbook and workbook) $25
